Progress was made to narrow the list 8er-specific option codes from the BMW 8 Series Inventory Project.  There are at least 175 option codes for the E31 platform.  Each option code will have the English and German language details.

The last update regarding this work and its challenges was reported 3-October-2007 in this article (read more).

The same challenges from last year are still evident, although an important first step was establishing the core options codes used for the E31.  It is this work that will assist the VBS-R (expanded build sheet report) efforts.

The Registry welcomes help and assistance in translating these option codes into French, Spanish, and other languages.  Contact the Registrar if you're interested in helping in the translation.
